Alejandro, originally from Almería, Spain, has embarked on an extraordinary musical journey as a trombonist. His musical education commenced at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Almería, where he was mentored by esteemed professors José Luis Arias, Jesús Jaren, and Manolo Hoces. He further honed his skills at the Conservatorio Superior de Málaga under the guidance of professors Jesús Lloret and Dominique Rombaut, achieving top honors in his trombone teacher certification.
His relentless pursuit of excellence took him to the Netherlands, where he immersed himself in studies at the University of the Arts in Rotterdam, Codarts. Over a five-year period, he dedicated himself tirelessly under the tutelage of renowned trombone masters Alexander Verbeek and Brandt Attema, resulting in the attainment of bachelor's and master's degrees in alto and tenor trombone, marked by exceptional academic achievements. In addition to his individual accomplishments, Alejandro earned a coveted spot in the prestigious Rotterdam Philharmonic Academy for two years. During his final year, he served as an assistant trombone teacher at the University of the Arts in Rotterdam.
On the professional front, Alejandro has solidified his presence as a valued member of Sinfonia Rotterdam since 2016. He has also collaborated extensively with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonie Zuidnederland since 2015. His exceptional skills have made him a sought-after collaborator with a variety of orchestras, including the Residentie Orkest, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Pynarello Orkest, Ludwig Live Orchestra, Nationaal Symfonisch Kamerorkest, Het Promenade Orkest, and the Marinierskapel der Koninklijke Marine. Notably, Alejandro has been a prominent trombonist in Stage Entertainment's musical productions in the Netherlands since 2018.
In the realm of chamber music, he co-founded the 'Málaga Brass Quintet' and played a pivotal role in its formation. Later, he was an integral part of the quintet 'Pelgrim Brass,' with which he recorded two albums and received accolades in international competitions. Additionally, he is the founder of the Iberoamerican Ensemble, with which he recently recorded their debut album 'Tocando Raices'. Alejandro's contributions extend to collaborative concerts and recordings with esteemed ensembles such as the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and New European Ensemble.
